Why I am so stoked for General Conference and more

Image
I was about to post something about Emma (she's 5 months which means its time for another post, don't worry that will come soon), but I thought, no, I want to talk about something else. I have a life besides her and it is high time I posted something else. So, here it is.  General conference is this weekend and I'm so excited. Especially with all of the political drama that has been happing. I can't go on the internet without reading something about it all. After I watched the debate last night and did a bunch of reading about Romney and Obama I felt a little defeated. Defeated because there are lies on both sides. Then, I realized that this weekend was General Conference and I felt hope. This is EXACTLY what I need after the debate. I need truth. I need inspiration. And I know that while listening to General Conference I will get both. I will get peace and reassurance that there is still good in this world.  I realize that everyone reading my blog may not be Mormon...

The Best of Emma: 3-4 Months

Image
Okay, I know, I know... It has been way too long. I completely missed Emma's 3 month blog post. I'm sorry. But, I hope this will make up for it. I've spent the last 4 hours uploading and compiling this video of Emma with all the home videos i've taken in the last two months. Emma is growing up and I can't believe it, but don't take my word for it. See for yourself. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well then, a movie should  be worth a million words (at least) right? :) Enjoy. My Life With Emma: 2 Months

Image
I know I haven't written in a while, but I have very good reason. She has two big blue eyes, blond with what seems at sometimes a tint of red fuzz, chubby cheeks, rolls of fat on her arms and legs, the most beautiful little hands, and the softest skin you could imagine. Her name is Emma, and my life is now consumed with her. It's like a marriage. You have good moments and bad moments, but the bad are definitely worth the the good ones (especially when the good include the darn cutest smile you have ever seen). I love her. So does her Daddy. The past few two months I have barely had time to eat, sleep, or eat, let alone write a blog post. I seriously have to remind myself that if I don't eat she's not going to get enough nutrition. So, even if it means letting her cry in her crib, I have to take sometime to myself. In those precious moments she's napping, if I have energy, I jump up to get something done. How do moms do it? I've never imagined something...
